Lion President Yvona's gavel has been taken hostage. We still know it is safe as photos are received here at the web site regularly. The Richmond Lion's continue to hope for its safe return. As of yet, no ransom has been requested. We're sure though that Lion President Yvona will be willing to pay for the gavel's safe return.

Lion Yvona has made an impassioned plea for her gavel. The text of her message...
Gavel my gavel
Where for art thou my gavel
I have tried diligently to let you be free
Free to go from park bench to Lakengren to who knows where?
I've employed a substitute in your absence, but my heart aches to slam you against our bell
"Gavel Substitute" has allowed me to finesse my bell ringing technique in your absence, and now I long for your return
I know you must be enjoying your travels.
I can tell by how relaxed you are on your bench - leaning back - string loose - slim and trim and still loking brand new.
And what wonderful sites you must be seeing at Lakengren - Just resting and people watching
It's wonderful to see your "gavel nappers" have not harmed you, but are treating you well.
I'm officially offering your "gavel nappers" and his or her "nappers in crime" a handsome reward for your safe
and unharmed - string attached- return.
Please let them know of my sincere heartfelt request to have you returned to carry on your ringing & dinging
with your ole pal "Lion Y" as we string to uphold our motto "WE SERVE"Be safe my "gavel friend"!
Love and hugs,
"Lion Y"
